Najdorf Sicilian Chess Books

Najdorf Sicilian

The Sicilian of all Sicilians. It's fair to name the Najdorf that way, being the sharpest of them all, the most challenging, and the most creative. The Najdorf Sicilian starts out with the moves 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6. Since Bobby Fischer and Mikhail Tal in their days popularised the Najdorf most great champions played this sharp opening, like Garry Kasparov, Viswanathan Anand and Veselin Topalov. Nowadays Maxime Vachier-Lagrave is considered the main theoretician in the Najdorf. Some of the variations that can occur are e.g. the Poisened Pawn Variation, the English Attack and the Fischer-Sozin Attack. The main line is considered 5. Bg5 Nbd7, after which interesting theoretical battles are probable to appear on the board. The Najdorf is a frequent guest on all levels. Most books and dvd's in this chapter are written for the black pieces, but you'll also find material for the white perspective. If you're not afraid to study some hyper sharp theoretical lines, follow the trends closely and ready to meet fire with fire, the Najdorf is the opening with your name written on it.

Winning With The Najdorf Sicilian: An Uncompromising Repertoire For Black - Zaven Andriasyan
2013 New In Chess,Csi Winning With The Najdorf Sicilian: An Uncompromising Repertoire For Black-Zaven Andriasyan

This book is written as a repertoire for black, and covers all variations for white. The main idea of the book is that in all variations, black tries to use a novelty first, to deviate from the main lines and surprise the opponent right from the beginning of the game, so as to make him feel uncomfortable. Other general approach of this book is that black main idea is to play ...e5 sooner or later. With the help of the latest games on top level, and the help of both computers and GM's, this book is a relative thin, but very instructive publication on the Najdorf.

Chess Developments: The Sicilian Najdorf 6 Bg5 - Kevin Goh Wei Ming
2014 Everyman Chess Chess Developments: The Sicilian Najdorf 6 Bg5-Kevin Goh Wei Ming

This book fully focuses on the Najdorf Sicilian with 6. Bg5. After the moves 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 6. Bg5 this position is reached. Although many sixth move alternative have been seen, such as 6. Be3,6. Be2, and 6. h3, the move advocated in this publication is still seen as the most critical one, and therefore the main line Najdorf. In this book the author deeply analyses 40 games. This should give one a great idea where this specific line is all about.

The Najdorf In Black And White - Bryan Smith
2018 Mongoose Press The Najdorf In Black And White-Bryan Smith

The Cadillac of Openings, that's what the author of this book calls the Najdorf. This book is a collection of games played in the Najdorf Sicilian. The purpose is not to be exhaustive, that would require at least ten times the content of the 160 pages of this book, and then it would even been a fraction of the analyses and relevant games in this opening. This book also does not suggest a repertoire for either black or white. The purpose of this book is to show how to play the Najdorf , with black and white, through archetypical games.
